Jacqueline “Jackie Blue” Billy Halliday, 88, passed away on Friday, September 1, 2017. She was born on February 16, 1929 to William James and Cora Dorthia (Anderson) Halliday.
She had a love for her family. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Her eyes would light up every time she saw her grandchildren. She has been seen with beautiful smile and eyes just sparkle. She had a passion for her flowerbeds and gardening, in particular growing tomatoes. She had a nick name “Jackie Blue” by a member at school whom she would bring her fantastic tomatoes. She enjoyed dancing and music, especially the “oldies.” She also loved doing her custodial work with her daughter, and also spend time as a supervisor at LS Ayers.
Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents, William and Cora Halliday, son Gordon Ray Halliday, brothers William and Vernon Halliday, sister Gloria White.
She is survived by her 4 daughters, Awanda (husband Vince) Insalato, Susan Halliday, Diane (husband John) Waldon, Clarice (husband Mike Johnson) Feldbaumer, sister Awanda Kumferman, and 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
She is missed by all who loved and knew her.
Celebration of life will be held at the American Legion, 601 S Holt Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46241, on October 8, 2017 from 2 pm to 5 pm.
