Olivia Lou (Spillars) BuzzinghamJuly 9, 1937 ~ March 25, 2017 (age 79)
Olivia Buzzingham joined her heavenly Father on Saturday, March 25th while a resident of the Community Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Sebree, Kentucky on July 9th, 1937, to LeRoy Spillars and Loretta Thiel. She spent the majority of her adult life in Evansville, Indiana, then moved to Indianapolis to be close to her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both parents; husband, Robert Buzzingham; brothers, Curtiss and Rollie Moss; granddaughter, Tiffany Hurley. She is survived by her sons, Jim, John (Laylonna) and Mickey (Heather) Hurley; daughter, Faith Hurley; grandchildren, John, Jr., Jason, Maxwell and Hannah Hurley; great-grandchildren Olivia, Aidan and Reagan Hurley.
Olivia was a woman of many talents and trades. Among her varied list of professions were graphologist, ordained minister, musical instrumentalist, singer, vitamin rep, transcriptionist, delivery truck driver, bus driver, bookkeeper and retail store clerk. A few of the activities she enjoyed were collecting stamps, ceramics, putting puzzles together, scrapbooking, sewing, drawing and volunteering. The one consistency in Olivia’s life was that she was dedicated to serving the Lord in whatever capacity she could, with just as much dedication to theological studies.
The family would like to give thanks to the staff of Community Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their special attention to Olivia with special thanks to angels Katrina and Natalie. In addition, we would like to thank Transitions Hospice services for their extraordinary efforts to ensure Olivia’s comfort.
