Owner and Funeral Director
Bob has been a funeral director for over 30 years starting at the age of 14 assisting at Usher Funeral Home. Bob and his wife Wanda opened their own funeral home in 2004, wanting to serve all families not just those able to pay for final expenses. Bob has always believed every person deserves a meaningful service, no matter their economic status. He is dedicated to serving every person as if they were his family member - with dignity and respect.
Community Relations Coordinator
Rick serves as the Community Relations Coordinator and specializes in Advanced Planning for Indiana Memorial. As Community Relations Coordinator, Rick builds and strengthens relationships with sectors of the general public while simultaneously focusing on burial benefits for military veterans. Rick has two sons who served in the War on Terror and he lives in Indianapolis.
Rick served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps during Vietnam which explains why he strongly advocates for those in the armed forces. He is actively involved in the veteran community as a Legion Rider and as a Service Officer for American Legion Post 79. Rick also serves on the Veterans Initiative Committee which supports Habitat for Humanity in Boone County. He also advocates for veterans suffering with traumatic brain injuries.
For years Rick has assisted veterans and non-veterans with their advanced planning directives. Spending this important time with families has shown Rick the true value of prearrangements. His deep compassion and care for others is rooted in his compassionate background as a minister, and then a Chaplain for the U.S. Marine Corps Memorial in Colorado.
Gracie is the dog of Bob and Wanda Lamon. She came to Indiana Memorial Cremation & Funeral Service in 2011. She helps families with their grief by comforting and caring for them. She has a good spirit. Gracie enjoys having her belly rubbed and being spoiled by all who come in contact with her. Woof!
