Dian Lee (Armstrong) Davis, 72 Indianapolis passed from this world on Wednesday, May 8, 2019. She was born on Tuesday, February 18, 1947 to Zane Albert and Freda (Blake) Armstrong.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kay John Davis, her parents, her brother, Larry Zane Armstrong, and her nephew, Christopher Miles.
She is survived by daughter Tammy Davis-Carpinetti; sister Linda Miles; 3 grandchildren: John, Jennifer, and Shelby; 6 great grandchildren: Justin, Mhira, Ruby, Rebel, Addison, and Brayden; niece Melissa Miles Pressley; two great nieces: Madison, Emily; as well as many extended family and friends.
After working many years in the book binding trade, Dian earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. She changed career paths and became a correctional officer, eventually retiring after serving as the law librarian at the Plainfield Correctional Facility.
Dian is loved and greatly missed by all who knew her, especially the staff, residents, and friends who shared her life at the Altenheim residential facility in Indianapolis. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank-you to the staff at the Altenheim for the care they extended to Dian.
Celebration of life visitation will be held Wednesday May 15, 2019 from 2 pm to 3:00 pm at Indiana Memorial, service following at 3:00 pm.
