Frances Louise (Hinshaw) BurgeJune 8, 1934 ~ November 21, 2017 (age 83)
Frances Louise Burge, 83, passed away November 21, 2017 in Indianapolis with her loving family by her side. Frances was born to John Chester and Emma Mae Hinshaw on June 8, 1934 in Carmel, Indiana. Frances graduated from Carmel High School in 1952. In high school Frances was know as "Daredevil Hinshaw", she rode a motorcycle and was always up for anything. Frances worked for AT&T for thirty years as a final inspector before she retired in 1993. Frances was married to the love of her life, Louis Burge on November 30, 1968 in Castleton, Indiana. Frances enjoyed many things in her life. Frances enjoyed gardening, she loved knockout roses and gardenias. She enjoyed to fish and sew. She began to do 3-D artwork where she began to assist the instructor. Louis and Frances took a forty-five day trip across the US that she thoroughly enjoyed. She like to pick strawberries and socialize. When she lived in Missouri she was a member of the Red Hat Club. Frances enjoyed clothes shopping and playing card games such as hand and foot. She would cook and can with her sister in law that she liked very well. A high school classmate described Frances as always having a smile and would love to make others smile as well. She was very athletic and well liked. She was a freshman class cheerleader. Frances and Louis were members of the New Hope Methodist Church from 1993-2013 while they lived in Missouri. She also loved to bird watch. Frances is survived by her loving husband, Louis Jesse Burge, one son. Doug Dye (Barb Chafin) of Indianapolis, two step sons, Gary Burge ( Janet L. Cain) of Trafalgar, IN, George Burge (Marilyn Moores) of Indianapolis, two daughters, Donna (Dye) Allen of Warsaw, Missouri, Kendra Burge of Kansas City, Missouri, one stepdaughter, Karen (Burge) Dave Klimaszewski of Indianapolis, nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her parents previously listed, and two sisters, Joyce Allen Hinshaw, and Annabeth Hinshaw.
Frances will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
