Joyce Rowsell, 67, of Plainfield Indiana past away on Saturday March 24th at 1:00AM.
Joyce was known as a person with a big heart. Joyce was an Amazing mother and grandmother. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. She always had nice words to say about everyone and never had an enemy in her entire life. She was a very compassionate woman and would do everything in her power to help others when they needed it. She was born in Indianapolis and graduated from Ben Davis High School in 1968. Joyce grew up and live on the West Side of Indianapolis her whole life. She worked as an order taker for Lane Bryant for almost 30 years. After leaving Lane Bryant, she worked part time at FedEx before becoming disabled.
She is preceded in death by her Father Amos H. Sevier, Mother Ruby C. Sevier (Arnold), Brother David H. Sevier.
Joyce leaves behind Son Jeffrey C. Rowsell, Son Stephen C. Rowsell, Grandson Vincent C. Rowsell, Brother Garry L. Sevier as well as Niece Christy Jones (Sevier), Nephews Joseph Sevier and Andrew Sevier and numerous Cousins. Joyce had numerous other “adopted” grandchildren from friends and her grandson Vincents' baseball teams.
She had numerous friends but two in particular she talked to everyday. Sharon Velasquez and Darla Sweany were her eyes to the outside world since she didn't get out of the house very often.
There will be a Celebration of Joyces' Life on Sunday, April 15th from 1:30pm to 5:30pm at the Hendricks County FOP Lodge 132 located at 5818 Sugar Grove Road, Plainfield, IN 46168.
