Marilyn Elaine (Hasseld) Fout 86, passed away on December 3, 2018. She was born on June 23, 1932 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Frank E. Hasseld, Sr. and Daisy (Reeves) Hasseld. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carnell Lee Fout, a sister, Mildred Bennett, and brothers, Leland Richard Hasseld and Frank E. Hasseld, Jr.
She graduated from George Washington High School in 1949, where she was fondly known as “The Quiz Kid.” Her love of knowledge, language, and the written word continued throughout her life. She frequently had a book at hand, and was always prepared to solve a crossword or win a game of Scrabble. She was a classic movies buff and a music lover who enjoyed singing to her children, and later in the Westside Village choir.
She devoted her life to her family and was beloved by all who knew her. She was a PTA officer, and a past president of the Mothers’ Club at the Atkins Boys Club. She worked in retail and at University Hospital before retiring.
Her wonderful sense of humor, warm heart, and ready smile will be missed by her survivors, including children, Elaine (Jack) Osborne, Charles II (Terry,) Bruce (Susannah,) and Thomas Fout; grandchildren, Amy Long, Jay Fout, Charles Fout III, Benjamin Osborne, and Jennifer Osborne; great-grandchildren: Allison, Madison, and Noah Long, Jr., Landen, Kimberly, Jackson, and Hadi Fout, and Luther Osborne.

A celebration of life will be held at Indiana Memorial Cremation and Funeral Care, 3562 W. 10th Street, Indianapolis, IN on Monday, December 10, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 p.m.
