It is with great sadness that the family of Donald Lee Baker of Indianapolis, Indiana announces his passing on Friday, June 12, 2020 at the age of 72. Don will be forever lovingly remembered by his wife of 28 years, Charlene and his children Diane Kinnett, Doug (Tabby) Sutton, Daymon (Becky) Baker, and Glenna (Justin) Crover. Don will also be fondly remembered by his five grandchildren Austin, Elexis, Kaiden, Leland and Shawn, his two great grandchildren Wyatt and Willow, and his sister Marlene (Jerry) Coffman. Don was preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Opal Baker.
Don worked for many years until he retired at Diamond Chain as a Foreman and Supervisor, as well as a part time hobby and job at Beech Grove Bowl where he bowled for many years in a league and bowled the perfect 300. Those who knew Don were aware of his love of the color orange. He also loved riding his motorcycle and going on those long vacation trips as well as driving his bright orange Camaro. He loved watching wrestling and building lego’s in his retirement and just being outside in the sun.
A visitation in memoriam of Don will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 from 2-4 p.m. with a private service for the family starting at 1p.m. His wife has asked for a moment alone starting at 4:30p.m. at the Indiana Memorial Cremation & Funeral Care at 3562 W 10th St, Indianapolis, IN 46222. Those who so desire may make a memorial donation in lieu of flowers to help with medical bills to his wife Charlene.
