Douglas Andrew Pagach, 76, Indianapolis, passed away peacefully June 11, 2020. Doug was born October 11, 1943 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Andy and Elizabeth Irene (Douglas) Pagach.
A Vietnam War Veteran, Doug served in the U.S. Navy. He married Barbara (Moehlenkamp) Pagach on June 23, 1984, who survives. They lived in Indianapolis and thoroughly enjoyed golfing, traveling, fishing and socializing with family and friends.
Doug was a member of the VFW Post 2839, American Legion Post 500 and Wednesday Inside Nine Only (WINOS) Golf League. He was a member of the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators, Local 18, and was the Union Business Manager during the 1980s. He took great pride in the fact that he helped insulate the Alaskan Pipe Line as a member of the Asbestos Worker’s Union.
Survivors include his loving wife of 36 years, Barb, his two children Tobi Lynn Pagach and Douglas Edward (Gerri) Pagach, granddaughter Kristin Pagach, as well as his sister Sherran Pagach (Jack) Schmalfeldt. He was proceeded in death by his parents Andy and Elizabeth Irene (Douglas) Pagach and his half-sister Patricia Ann Pagach.
Family and friends will gather for a celebration of his life on Saturday, June 13, 2020 from 2:00pm – 5:00pm with a Memorial Service at 3:00pm at the Avon American Legion Post 145. The Legion Post is located at 4812 East Main Street (Old US HWY 36) Avon, Indiana 46123.
