James Kenneth Dyke, 79, Indianapolis passed from this world on Friday, March 27, 2020. He was born on Monday, September 16, 1940 to William Frances and Violet May (Carpenter) Dyke in Indianapolis, IN.
He was in Boy Scout and was the president of Boys Club Riverside. He graduated from Arsenal Tech High School in 1958. He joined the U.S. Marine corp, during his time he was in the Color guard, water safety instructor. He also received good conduct medal.
He was preceded in death by his parents William Frances and Violet May (Carpenter) Dyke, brothers William Dyke, Charles Dyke, Richard Dyke, sisters Violet Pace, Margaret Dyke, Sylvia Wooster.
He is survived by loving wife Rebecca Ann (Basore) Dyke, sons Anthony J. (wife Genia) Dyke, Zachariah J. Dyke, daughters Lisa Whitlock, Kayla M. (husband Antonio) Edwards, Erica M. Gary, Ella M. Bonnewell, brother Stephen Dyke, 13 grandchildren Dakkota, Montana, Jacob, Brooklyn, Jillian, KyAnn, Amanda, Ashli, Anthony, Secret, Zane, Keyon, and Jaiden, 8 great grandchildren, and extended family and friends.
He is loved and greatly missed by all who knew him.
