Leon Johnson's love of life didn't come to an end with his death. Leon passed away on October 13, 2021, with his best friend at his side, (Michael Jackson) who will continue to honor his legacy by living life to the fullest.
Leon was born on Friday October 22, 1943, in Columbus, Georgia, to Robert Johnson and Mollie Jones Johnson. Leon came to Indianapolis, Indiana in the 70's and never looked back.
Leon received his education in the public school system.
Leon was a lawn care extraordinaire and an awesome all around great handy man.
Leon had a passion to listen to oldies but goodies music. He enjoyed cooking and shooting dice, watching football and basketball. Leon was known for his quick wit his infectious smile, and kind compassionate spirit. Leon had an uncanny ability to find happiness in his daily activities.
Leon was preceded in death by his parents, ex-wife, Clare Sims, son Marcus Leon Johnson, brother Robert B. Johnson II; sisters Patricia Ragster, Mary Barmore, Cecelia Mainer and cousin Clara Daniels.
Leon leaves to cherish his memory, best friend, Michael Jackson (28 years). Brothers, Harry Johnson (Patricia) of Indianapolis, Indiana; Harold Johnson (Dorothy) of Columbus, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 6th, at 2:pm at Unity Church of Indianapolis, 907 N. Delaware St., Indianapolis, IN 46202.
