Robert “Bob” Wesley Summers, of Mooresville, passed away on October 9, 2021 at the age of 65. He was born on April 22, 1956 to Robert and Mary Ann (Lugar) Summers.
Bob moved to Glenwood Springs, Colorado after high school and worked as a steel worker. He moved back to Indiana in 1983 and spent nearly 30 years working as a trim carpenter, before retiring from the Indianapolis International Airport.
Bob enjoyed playing and watching sports and going to NASCAR races with friends in his younger days. He enjoyed bird watching at home, and finding and watching new shows and movies (mostly on Netflix). He was thoughtful, loving, stubborn and opinionated. Bob wouldn’t hesitate to tell you like it is! He loved being a dad and Pappaw more than anything else and he was the greatest at both.
He is survived by his daughter, Caitlin and son-in-law Brolin, grandchildren Addison, Mason, Hadleigh and Logan, sister Lori Summers Bunn, brothers Mark and Steven (Sherri) Summers and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bob is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Indiana Memorial is honored to serve the Summers family.
