Steven Lyndell Dugger, 68, formerly of Many, LA went to fish the great lake in the sky with his mom and dad on November 12th at 4:42p.m. Born to the late George and Becky (Hensley) Dugger of Anderson. Steve was an avid fisherman and an incredibly talented artist. He also enjoyed dancing and nascar. (He turned his rolling walker into a racecar with his video game controllers to be in the action while playing a nascar game.) Steve worked many years as a skilled carpenter, well known for his exceptional talent for laying carpet and tile. Steve is survived by 4 siblings: Neale (Gail) Dugger of Kokomo, George (Dawn) Dugger of Anderson, Dianne (Andy) Kerr of Summitville and Deanne Dugger of Elwood. He had 5 children: Andrew Dugger of Anderson, Rebecca Dugger of Anderson, Sarah (Brad) Brown of Fort Wayne, Mathew Dugger of Fort Wayne, Jessica (Blake Stoneman) Dugger of Lake Odessa, MI. Steve was a grandfather of 8: Chelsey (Braydon) Parnell, Madison Hart, Nadia Brown, Serenity Brown, Ivory Brown, Evan Dugger, Kezia Stoneman and Kallie Stoneman. He was also blessed to have 2 great grandchildren: Colton Hochstetler and Nolan Parnell. Multiple nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. Steve also had some incredibly special cousins that were like a second set of siblings. Steve was preceded in death by his father George Dugger, mother Becky Dugger, sister Kathy Dugger, grandson Kole Lee Dugger, grandparents and aunts/uncles.
A special thank you to the staff at Kokomo Healthcare-especially his nurse Travis, Dr Washington, Dr Greer, and Southern Care Hospice for the exceptional care they provided. To honor Steve’s wishes, there will be no funeral service or graveside service. There will be a memorial gathering at a later date.
