Synetra Ann Marks-Taylor (Nita)
Synetra Ann Marks Taylor age 58 was born May 17th, 1963 to Judy A. Patterson and Willis A Marks in Indianapolis, IN. she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at a very early age and served the Lord with her Greater Gethsemane Baptist Church family for many years.
Synetra was joined in Holy Matrimony with her Soulmate and best friend Alfred G. Taylor Sr, together they loved and nurtured 5 children.
Synetra was educated in the Indianapolis Public School system graduating from Crispus Attucks High School, she continued her education at Central State University. She was employed 25 years with the United States Postal Service until her health retired her.
Synetra loved to read a good book, was the master of playing games and had a great appreciation for African American art. She never met a stranger and was forever happy, greeting everybody with a joyful smile.
As a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, mother-n-law, co-worker or a friend Nita was genuine. She would give you her coat off her back.
Synetra was preceded in death by her extraordinary father Gary Johnson. She leaves to cherish her memories; a loving husband Alfred G. Taylor, Sr., Five Sons; Alfred Taylor Jr, Andre Taylor (Heather), Aaron Taylor, Alexander Taylor, Sr., (Joycelyn) and Angelo Taylor. A loving mother Judy A. Johnson, grandmother Patsy Thomas (Aunt Nee). Siblings; Damon Johnson, Gail Cook (Leonard), Gary Johnson Jr., Benjamin Johnson, Sr., Alonzo Johnson, Sr. (Angela), Michael Johnson, Michelle Marks and Aaron Marks all of Indianapolis. 16 Grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, extend family and a lifetime friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Greater Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church, 902 Dr. MLK, Indpls., 46202, Friday Sept 17, visitation 11a-12p, service 12p.
